What our packing service includes

Depending on what you choose, our packing service can cover boxing up an entire household, wrapping and protecting furniture, disassembling larger items for narrow doorways or stairwells, and preparing fragile pieces such as artwork, mirrors, and glassware for transport. We also handle special items — pianos, antiques, larger artwork — with protection specific to the item rather than generic wrapping.

Packing for road transport vs. sea freight

Depending on destination, volume and requirements, your move may use dedicated road transport, shared load (groupage), or container shipping — and the packing standard adjusts accordingly. Sea freight in particular calls for more robust, export-grade materials given the longer transit and additional handling involved, including protection against humidity that a shorter road journey does not need to account for.

Full packing versus partial packing

Full packing means our team packs your entire household from start to finish, which suits people who would rather hand over the whole process, or who are managing a move alongside a demanding schedule. Partial packing means you box up everyday items yourself and we take care of furniture, fragile pieces, and anything that benefits from professional handling — a middle ground that reduces cost while still covering the parts of a move most likely to go wrong if handled without experience.

Furniture disassembly and reassembly

Larger furniture often needs to be disassembled to fit through doorways, down stairwells, or into a container efficiently. Our packing team handles this as part of the service, and can reassemble furniture at delivery so you are not left working out how a wardrobe goes back together after a long journey. Fixings and small parts are bagged and labelled per item, rather than pooled together, to avoid the frustrating hunt for the right screws at the other end.

What we ask before packing day

Before your packing date, we confirm your transport method, an approximate volume, and anything unusual in your inventory — a piano, artwork, a vehicle, or items that need specific handling. Unpacking at your new home

On request, we can also unpack boxes and remove packing materials at your destination, so you are not left dealing with the debris of the move on top of settling in.
